Position Purpose:

We are seeking a full-time Dental Practice Manager at Advance Community Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Dental Practice Manager assures the successful operations of ACH dental practice(s) by working to engage, develop, empower, and inspire dental providers and staff. The manager will have accountability for overall performance of the dental program; and evaluating, enhancing, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives to further the operations and fulfillment of the mission of the organization. They will assist the Director of Dental Services with all aspects of the dental program operations to include new program sites, expansion of services and engagement within the community.

 

About this position:

  • Work Location: 1001 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00an - 5:00pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at thistime)
  • Required Travel: Trave to different office sites or meetings as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations - Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations of assigned practice in accordance with federal/state requirements, grant requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Hands-on supervision/management of all daily activities of the Front Office and provider staff.
  • Manages all clinic resources to provide the highest quality of dental services to the local community population while operating within budgetary limitations.
  • Maintains and manages the providers schedules and templates.

Fiscal Management - Responsible for fiscal management of the dental practice.

  • Coordinates revenue enhancement efforts in the dental centers
  • Oversees inventory management through accurate and timely supply ordering.
  • Manages of daily copay collections
  • Manages of the Daily Batch Process and deposits
  • Manages and audits Sliding Fee Scale process (applications and recertification's)

People management - Responsible for hiring, orienting, training, motivating, and developing dental practice staff.

  • Conducts performance appraisals and addresses issues, including disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Supervises, coaches, and develops personnel.

Leadership - Lead and support organizational initiatives including but not limited to:

  • Quality improvement and risk management
  • Community engagement
  • Inter-Organizational collaboration
  • Site leadership team collaboration
  • Operations team collaboration

Systems Management - Responsible for multiple center management systems to ensure daily center management:

  • Practice Management
  • Electronic Dental Record
  • Electronic Medical Record
  • Payroll System
  • Onsite first responder to site issues/concerns
Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent management or supervisory experience
  • 1-2 years office management and supervisory experience in a professional business setting; dental administration experience preferred.

Preferred Experience: 2 or more years of dental administration practice, FQHC experience, proficiency with EPIC and Dentrix, and change management experience.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint, and Performance Management Systems.

Special Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
