RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining adequate stock levels of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director (MD) and the veterinary team to optimize patient care and workflow.
- Hire, train, and mentor staff members, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to team members, stepping in to assist whenever necessary.
- Motivate staff and helps build and maintain morale.
- Utilize feedback from clients, staff, and management to identity areas of improvement and implement appropriate changes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hospital operations, finances, and inventory management.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and identity opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Promote continuous quality improvement to ensure the practices' success and achieve the vision.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practice, & regulatory requirements related to veterinary medicine and practice management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, CVMP, or related field preferred.
- Three years of supervisory experience required.
- Three years or more of managing a veterinary practice required.
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy towards clients and treat animal with respect and compassion
- Familiarity with inventory management and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated commitment to team development and mentorship.
- Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of veterinary medicine and practice management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
- Demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting, including reading and analyzing a P&L statement.
- Must have availability during business hours and occasional flexibility to accommodate hospitals' needs
