Summary:
Engineering support of light-duty conventional and electrified powertrain calibration, development and durability testing, and powertrain field issues.
Position Summary: (responsibilities can be broken into 3 parts)
1. Preparing Vehicles for testing
- Coordinate with teams to ensure proper software/hardware updates are made
-performance checks
2. Work with emissions lab to schedule testing and receive testing results
3. Review Reports and Trouble Shoot issues
Job Responsibilities:
-Coordinate the preparation and testing of powertrain durability vehicles
-Coordinate emissions testing and resolve powertrain issues on durability vehicles
-Perform root cause analysis of issues; develop and confirm countermeasures
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience with light-duty engine development in the areas of combustion, emissions control/OBD, and driveability
- Experience with light-duty engine control units, especially Bosch control units
- Understanding of light-duty emissions and OBD regulations
- Proficiency with powertrain development tools such as INCA and Matlab/Simulink
- Ability to author clear and concise technical reports for a wide, global audience
- B.S. in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering

Valid US Driver's License,
10-25% Travel (within US),
OT may be needed on occasion
This role will support gasoline and hybrid powertrain durability/testing. Within this team they will be working with core team of approx. 5 engineers. Candidate must be comfortable in a collaborative work environment. This person will be working with technicians, staff, etc. throughout other teams. They will also be providing support for durability drivers that are in remote locations - excellent communication skills are a must. Will also be working with external service providers for troubleshooting issues via phone, Skype, etc.
