Powertrain NVH Technician, Dyno Lab

As a Powertrain Technician in the NVH team, you will play a critical role in the development of Tesla’s industry-leading products. You will help bring the electric vehicle products we design to life, and ensure their acoustic integrity. You will work side-by-side with fellow NVH staff and other engineering teams to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver world-class performance.

Role is based in Fremont,CA. Frequent travel between local sites is required. Occasional travel out of state is required. Technician is responsible for bringing their own tools.

• 3+ years experience working in a technical field involving instrumentation for NVH or durability or similar
• Experience working in a dyno lab is desirable
• Strong communication skills, independent worker, excellent team player
• Excellent knowledge of motor or gearbox operation; knowledge of electric vehicle architecture a strong plus
• Willing to work a flexible schedule
• Basic understanding of vehicle or motor/gearbox NVH
• Basic understanding of vehicle instrumentation, CAN communication
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results on difficult projects with tight timing constraints
• Experience with the following software is desirable but not required – Siemens TestLab, NI VeriStand  
• Must have a valid driver’s license
