As a Power Electronics Engineer at Infinitum, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Power Electronics systems. This role demands a deep understanding of power conversion technologies, a track record of successful product development, and the ability to work with a team of engineers to deliver high-performance solutions.
- Lead the design and development of advanced Power Electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and power supplies, from concept to production.
- Emphasis on Variable Frequency Drive development and Active Front Ends.
- Optimize Power Electronics systems for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate designs.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in Power Electronics.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance product performance.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing of Power Electronics systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other system components.
- Ensure that Power Electronics designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with certification engineering team for certifications as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate Power Electronics solutions into overall product architectures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Ensure that documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power Electronics design, with a focus on motor inverters.
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, magnetics, and thermal management.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as PLECS, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
- Proficiency with Schematic Capture using Altium.
- Experience with PCB layout and design tools.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
