In this role you will produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operator:
- Handle materials from and to, previous and following work stations or storage areas.
- Operation and adjustment of production equipment in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
- Operates and adjusts powdered metal press and assembles preform to cup assembly in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
- Operates Coining and Compacting presses as required.
- Operates oven which cures material by heat with or without the use of fixtures at a prescribed cycle.
- Operates grinding machine by feeding stock manually on fixtures which removes stock by feeding material into or against abrasive grinding wheels.
- Visually inspects aircraft parts before they are packed.
- Must be capable of viewing products for visual defects in accordance with established standards.
- Must be capable of making established routine production checks on the products and to use and adjust necessary equipment used in making checks.
- Must be able to operate a powered industrial vehicle if required for job duties.
- Records required data and completes required production reports as required for current task.
- Responsible for following good safety and housekeeping practices in assigned work areas and throughout the plant.
- Other duties as directed by supervision.
Mix Operator:
- Mixes formulas to required specifications for the department needs, per work instructions.
- Weighs out required material on scale according to instruction sheet and approved by quality.
- Visually inspect material for unusual appearance. Loads mixer, setting mixing cycle according to instructions.
- Unloads mixer.
- Removes material to storage area. Keeps unused raw material covered.
- Records required data and makes out required production data.
- Employee operates associated equipment in the mix room such as, granulator, slugger, screener, etc. when required.
- Responsible for following good safety and housekeeping practices in assigned work areas and throughout the plant.
- Let's supervision know when raw material inventories are low. Other duties as directed by Supervision.

- High School graduate or equivalent experience
- Math skills that demonstrate a basic understanding of arithmetic
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to read, understand, and draw blueprints and measuring gages
