Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is currently recruiting for a Portfolio & Commercial Strategy Summer Intern to join the Portfolio Innovation & Commercialization Strategy (PICS) team. The goal of the PICS team, part of the Global Commercial Strategy Organization, is to challenge, innovate, and shape global commercial strategies and decisions across product, portfolio, and functions to accelerate business impact and win for patients.
The Summer Intern will report up through the Strategy & New Business Development team within PICS. In this role, the Summer Intern will support the team in transformational cross-functional strategic initiatives and develop perspectives on key topics for internal communication. The Summer Intern will also support process and content for large, complex, and highly visible projects.
- Provide a range of strategy, operations, and project support for the Strategy & New Business Development team and / or PICS more broadly.
- Support critical and highly visible strategic projects across J&J Innovative Medicine.
- Develop a viewpoint on the external environment, including headwinds and tailwinds for key competitors, through primary and secondary research and analysis.
- Work with other PICS teams to challenge thinking and develop new, innovative ways to solve priority issues.
- Express a point of view and conclusions to a wide range of internal audiences through speech presentations, white papers, and slide presentations.
Education and Skills:
- Enrolled in an accredited college / university pursuing a bachelor's degree in healthcare / life sciences or be a recent college graduate or student enrolled in a master's degree program in a relevant field.
- Available to work (Full-time). Planned dates are May 13, 2024 through August 29, 2024.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B status) now or in the future.
- Detail-oriented, creative, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to thrive independently as well as on a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel (including a high proficiency with generating pivot tables and graphs), and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills.
- A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
- Passion and excitement for healthcare and / or life sciences.
