The Porter / Groundskeeper will be responsible for the exterior and common area upkeep plus light maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Report to the Community Manager each morning to communicate the daily needs of the property and receive daily assignments.
- Routinely walks the property and reports any observed problems on the property or in common areas.
- Maintains the buildings and breezeways to be free from trash and cobwebs. Cleaning of all common areas, model units, amenities and maintaining of compactor area to be free from debris.
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the buildings looking clean and professional.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the Community Manager, if applicable.
- Assisting when needed in preparing market-ready units,
- Properly performs casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items and following appropriate safety procedures.
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment. Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Be able to communicate well and often through email, phone, and our online platform.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in general groundskeeping or custodial work.
- Must be able to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. occasionally to complete assigned job tasks
