Pay Range: $17.00-19.00 per hour
Hiring Bonus: $750 (no experience) or $1250 (1+ years Pool Maintenance experience)*; Effective December 1, 2023
- This bonus is paid in two installments: 50% after 90 days of employment and the other 50% after 180 days of employment
The Day to Day
- Clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments
- Periodically empty pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces
- Regularly test pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data
- Ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water
- Calculate and add chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems
- Take-in how to inspect pool and equipment
- Complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
The Person
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment related to swimming pools would be nice to have
- Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment preferred
- Math Skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with at least 1 year of driving history
- Ability to work independently
- 1 year of related experience required
The Environment - (Physical Requirements)
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds at a time
- Required to be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat
- Essential that you love to be outdoors
- Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete record keeping
- Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities
