Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associate degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field Preferred
2 Years Security or law enforcement Required
2 Years Healthcare or education Preferred
DL - Driver's License Class C and insurable Upon Hire Required
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days Required
Peace Officer (TCOLE) Certification Upon Hire Required
Skills:
Ability to make independent decisions with tactful, mature and positive attitude
The incumbent must also demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities
The incumbent must be cooperative, discreet and courteous in handling visitors and employees within the scope of assigned authority.
What You Will Do:
Provides security and assistance for hospital patients, staff, and visitors.
Conducts effective external and internal patrols of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton facility, including, but not limited to, the hospital bed towers, the Medical Office Buildings, and all parking areas and garages.
Maintains the security of perimeter doors as well as entrance and exit doors to and from each THDN department.
Responds in an effective manner to emergency situations (e.g., Code Blue, Silver, Red, Green, Yellow, Gray, Black, Pink, Brown, White, duress alarm activations) and to other calls for service.
Completes effective incident reports and submit these reports to the Security Manager and/or to the Risk Management Department in a timely manner.
Promotes future growth of entity Department of Public Safety Program through exemplary service excellence (utilizing results of the Support Service Customer Satisfaction Survey).
