OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed by criminal courts.
We are accepting applications for a full-time permanent Police Officer 2within the Protective Services Department, headquartered at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, 2200 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43220. This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position.
What You'll Do:
- Performs police related duties per hospital policy
- Secures buildings and grounds by foot or vehicle patrol
- Advises the public of policies
- Escorts visitors to visitation
- Assists nursing staff during emergency codes per policy
- Conducts investigations on alleged violations of hospital policy
- Completes documentation as required
This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position.

Possession of certificate having successfully completed approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 yrs. active duty as peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of Ohio revised code; valid driver's license. Unusual working conditions:
May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior.
