The TMFL PM Service Technician primary position is to service and repair Palfinger customer’s forklifts at customer’s or related location. This is a remote role, reporting to the Service Lead at 1118 W. Craighead Rd., Charlotte, NC 28206.
Responsbilities
- Perform field service PM, repairs and troubleshooting truck mounted forklifts while using high degree of independent judgment.
- Perform quarterly and annual preventive maintenance per customer schedule.
- Schedule work and move onto the next task without supervision from their direct manager.
- Communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to customer and/or fleet managers.
- Responsible for service documentation in a timely manner that consists of but not limited to; estimates, work order authorization, ordering and recording parts, labor, and inventory documentation.
- Comply with state and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Follow all DOT rules and regulations.
- Maintain clean and organized service truck.
- Maintain 75% direct billable labor.
Qualifications
- High School or GED expected minimum.
- 1 year mechanical experience or training with emphasis in the area of Truck Mounted Forklifts.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM system.
- Proven ability to work independently, to take initiative and be resourceful
- Recognized as being self-motivated and a self-starter
- Mechanical ability to learn hydraulics, electrical, troubleshooting diagnostics and welding
- Must speak, read, and write English.
- Must supply own basic hand tools.
- PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided.
