Purpose and Essential Duties

The Plumbing Service Technician III will install and repair all phases of plumbing systems; potable water, sanitary water and vent, natural gas and storm drainage systems in accordance with local and state plumbing and building codes.

Specific responsibilities include:

• All Installation Service Technician I & II essential duties.
• Establish and maintain clear communications with customers.
• Service, repair, and install
• all plumbing systems and piping supports per code.
• Install and test Backflow Preventers.
• Install and test Medical Gas.
• Complete Plumbing Services in confined space environment.
• Comply with federal, state, local building and plumbing codes by adherence to requirements.
• Keep plumbing equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
• Be able to test all plumbing systems per job specifications.
• Lift heavy materials at heights, working on uneven ground, working
• in the adverse weather.
• Promote and perform all aspects of Bernhard’s safety procedures and policies.

This position is Full Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to Service Manager.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Skills of level 2 Plumbing Technician in addition to those listed below.
• OSHA 30 hour–preferred
• Plumbing License
• Medical gas license
• Backflow prevention license.
• Thorough knowledge and application of local and national plumbing codes.
• Ability to use special tools and equipment.
• Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.
• Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent multitasking skills.
• Willingness to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
