Plumbing Project Engineer - Multi Family

General Responsibility:

The Project Engineer provides administrative assistance to the Project Manager in coordinating all processes from the project acquisition stage through final construction. Project tasks consist of such things as performing calculations, writing specifications, preparing bids, reviewing equipment proposals and evaluating or selecting equipment and preparing various lists, such as equipment and materials lists.

Significant Duties:

• Generate project in Procore per written procedures
• Top sheet maintenance and manage changes, distribute to purchasing, engineering and operations
• Create and distribute a complete submittal package based on contract documents, plumbing proposal and top sheet
• Coordinate and supervise the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment
• Upload initial plans while maintaining and distributing revisions
• Assist PM in admin needs for Pre – Con Meetings
• Work with engineer and PM to help with RFI admin needs for both in-house and Contractor generated per written procedures
• Work with PM to provide C/O admin needs
• Organize all written correspondence in Procore/Procore Drive
• Save all project documents in the appropriate folders in the share drives
• Assist in preparation of project close-out requirements including cost history, red line as-built, and all other project controls.
• Close out & Warranty
• Work with contract admin to provide O&M manuals and Warranties
• Work with engineering to provide as built blueprints
• Travel to different jobsites as directed by management
• Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes

• Other Duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Project Engineer Certification or 5 years’ experience preferred. Any certifications pertaining to construction industry is a plus.
• A California Drivers' License, with a clean DMV record is necessary
• Ability to work in a team environment and independent
• Must have the ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and analyze data to make decisions
• Construction experience, ability to read plans, process change orders and RFIs are preferred.
• Strong planning and interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills are needed, as are leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems.
• Ability to provide instruction in a clear and concise manner and follow up when necessary.
• Detail oriented ability to prioritize with strong organization skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Uses independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs

Physical Requirements:

The position of Multi FamilyPlumbing Project Engineer requires that you are able to lift objects that weight up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist. Exposed to work in outdoor and indoor weather conditions. Ability to sit long periods, stand, walk, climb stairs and use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms. Travel to jobsites will be necessary and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
