Responsibilities:
- Perform drain cleaning and repair services for residential customers
- Use blueprints and schematics to identify and locate drainage systems
- Assemble and install drain pipes, fittings, and fixtures
-Safely operate drain cleaing jetter systems and bore machines when required
- Utilize basic math skills to measure and cut pipes to the appropriate length
- Conduct pipe threading and sealing to ensure proper connections
- Troubleshoot and diagnose drainage issues using mechanical knowledge
- Collaborate with other team members to complete remodeling projects involving drainage systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions
Skills:
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to drainage systems
- Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes
- Maintenance Person skills for general repairs and maintenance tasks
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose drainage issues
- Experience with pipe threading and sealing techniques
What YOU will do as a Drain Tech:
- Complete all drain cleaning, jetting and cable work related to in-home, service calls.
- Educate and assist customers on the importance of sewer repair and replacement.
- Protect drain cleaning equipment and keep a well inventoried truck.
What YOU will bring to the KB Team:
- Three years or more of Drain Technician experience
- Flexible availability
- Ability to handle heavy equipment
- Ability to work outdoors
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of computer processes
