Job Summary
We couldn’t agree more with the words of Peter Gray, “You cannot teach creativity, all you can do is let it blossom, and it blossoms in play.” The Play Street MuseumTeam Leader plays a critical role in curating a safe and enjoyable experience of children and their families by effectively leading the team. This position involves managing key aspects of the museum during shifts, including security, customer service, and operational duties.
The Team Leader role is designed to support the General Manager by providing leadership in ensuring world-class customer service is delivered and assisting the co-owners in overseeing events; including special events and weekend birthday parties. Note: as a result this leader's schedule will include most weekends.
Sample key responsibilities include:
Security and Operations
- Responsible for opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises and managing alarms.
- Train team to operate POS and manage transactions following company policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain security and safety guidelines while reporting concerns to the leadership team.
- Train team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Hold team members accountable for driving exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for children and their families.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the team to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Advanced operational skills in a customer-service environment.
- Ability to follow security and safety guidelines.
- Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail and customer service is required
- Ability to lift 30 lbs independently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to manage opening and closing procedures.

Pay Range:
$22/hour
