SUMMARY:
The Injection Molding Process Technician will perform tasks associated with the production
of molded Thermoplastic materials used in the Fluid Power, Pharma, Dairy, life sciences,
Aerospace, Transportation, and Industrial markets. This position is responsible for
independent set-up and operation of Injection Molding machines. The Molding Process
Technician will take direction and run production orders according to schedules. At all times
emphasis will be on safety and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Process Technician will be responsible for the following activities: fulfilling the
production schedule as well as performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the
schedule; performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions
to insure part conformity and quality; verifying paperwork for jobs and completion of
inspections at startup of jobs and in process inspections; monitoring and preparing support
equipment i.e. circulators, grinders, etc. as needed in the production area; and assisting in
break coverage as needed.
Organizational Relationships
The role reports primarily to the Molding Team Leader and has a communication
relationship with, Scheduling Manager, Materials Manager, Production Team Leader,
Quality Manager and Engineering Project Leaders or designees.

Education & Training
6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment
6+ months' experience working in Injection Molding or on related equipment is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to speak, read and write English
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to read blueprints and adhere to quality standards procedures and policies
Technical Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Mold Technician experience is required.
- Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, calipers, Acu-Guage, etc.
- Must have ability to operate overhead cranes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and read Bills of Materials
- Experience with hand tools is required
- Follow all safety requirements, procedures, and policies always
- Ability to identify, solve and/or escalate complex problems as they arise within the
Injection department
- Demonstrate efficiency in operating all Injection Molding equipment with little to no
supervision
- Perform visual inspections and identify anomalies or deficiencies and work to
identify issue
- Ability to identify, solve and/or escalate complex problems as they arise within the
Injection department
- Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health,
safety, and environmental regulations, as required
- Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as
required by our plant EHS program
- Maintains workspace before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance
with 5S principles
- Make quality parts that meet specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a
fast-paced work environment.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the
Production Supervisor or Cell Lead

**Training will be done during 1st shift 6am - 4:30pm, once training is complete the individual will work 4pm - 2:30am Monday thru Thuresday

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
