We are seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator (1st Shift) M-F Currently 6:00am - 4:00pm to join our team!This is a Self-Motivated Opportunity for the right candidate!

Overall Objective of the Material Handler/Forklift Operator:

Utilize Forklift to move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility. This position will keep production moving smoothly by ensuring all work stations are maintained with all the necessary raw materials and product components to produce our finished products; While keep our work areas clear by moving all finished products to their appropriate location outside of the plant in the staging or shipping area. Track of all movement of supplies, raw materials, product components and finished products.

Responsibilities: (listed but not limited to...)

  • Transport material (virgin or regrind resin, colorant, packaging materials, etc.) to the press or designated locations
  • Transport finished goods from press/station to inventory area as designated
  • Maintain the highest quality work to continuously insure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain inventory of aluminum molds
  • Organize and maintain organization of warehouses (2 on site and 1 off site).
  • Transfer material between warehouses and log activities
  • Helps with rework of parts as needed
  • Print labels for finished goods, material, etc.
  • Make computer entries regarding the movement of materials, color, etc. to and from warehouse storage. Complete inventory paperwork accurately.
  • Keep machine hoppers/dryers full at all times as directed (verifying the specific material before loading hoppers/dryers)
  • Clean any material spills on presses or around presses due to loading, purging or any other handling
  • Give Press Operators breaks as needed
  • Clean grinders and hoppers/dryers in detail as directed
  • Grind runners and scrap parts with no contamination. Clearly identify on the gaylord, drums, barrels, boxes, etc the date, lot #s, description of material as required
  • Mix regrind with appropriate % with the virgin material
  • Maintain and dump all garbage into main dumpsters during and end of shift
  • Assist Shipping Department when available
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor property (gaylords, racks, pallets, scrap, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders or presses; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous Forklift / Material Handling experience (1 or more years experience required)
  • Experienced in fast paced manufacturing/production environment required
  • Monitoring inventory and tracking materials movement
  • Knowledge of the FIFO system
  • Able to complete and pass company sponsored Fork Lift training and license certification
  • Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and high degree of organizational skills
  • Experience in Injection Molding - preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to work in the U.S.
