The Plant Supply Planner is a member of the plant support team responsible for the following
- Majority of responsibility: Develop the manufacturing schedule and raw material plan. For scheduling, work with vendors, sourcing, transportation, operations, and corporate logistics to develop production schedules, support new items, discontinuations, and promotions. For raw material planning, manage inbound material flow, supply disruptions, product changes, and material age.
- Minority of responsibility: Developing a daily deployment plan and executing the plan to maintain the highest service level at lowest possible cost
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Specific to Deployment (D), Scheduling (S) and Raw Material (RM) responsibilities
- D Develop deployment plan to service our warehouse product needs
- S Develop finite schedule to optimize plant operations balanced with the needs of the business.
- RM Build raw material plan to support manufacturing plant schedule, including placing PO's, expediting materials, coordinating material changes, and managing costs associated with raw materials, using SAP ERP.
- RM Support plant logistics goals of raw material days of supply and material disruptions.
- S Participate in rate setting process for manufacturing systems.
- All Deliver outstanding daily results through process rigor, attention to detail, sense of urgency and time management.
- All Have strong understanding of plant manufacturing floor capabilities
- All Communicate across multiple functions & levels regarding business opportunities & risk
- All Influence cross functional partners through root cause analysis for i.e., inventory control, vendor performance indicators, and transportation opportunities
- All Lead plant projects that support supply chain HMM and cost avoidance goals
- All Manage plant events that require scheduling/raw material/deployment changes with minimal cost implications
- RM Communicate and build relationships with vendors for material procurement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years related experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Embrace process standardization and champion change
- Possess a high level of initiative and energy to influence and lead change
- Commitment to superior customer service and ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Solid computer background (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to flex hours to support 24/7 manufacturing site
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in supply chain, logistics, or business
- SAP/IPT experience (OMP/APO/MRP/ERP) or other similar planning system
- Manufacturing plant experience
