The Plant Manager (Mine Manager) role is based in Enumclaw, WA and reports directly to the Area Aggregates Operations Manager.
Key Targets of the Role

• Overall responsibility for safety, production, and cost for all activities at the HM Pacific Northwest Enumclaw location.

What you'll get to do

• Maintain site safety programs and ensure compliance with all Federal (MSHA part 46) and State regulations, maintain all training records, lead safety meetings, and supervise established safety procedures.
• Proactively manage safety and health of employees to continuously improve the company's safety and health performance.
• Manage the Overall cost, production, quality, and maintenance activities including the achievement of business strategic plans.
• Plan, schedule, and direct mining and processing of aggregates to exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Plan and implement reclamation as required by Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
• Maintains company assets in good operational condition and recommends replacement opportunities when necessary.
• Maintains plant staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains plant staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Achieves financial objectives by preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

Essential Experience and Skills

• High school diploma, Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience

• 2+ years of direct supervisor experience preferred
• Experience in a heavy manufacturing, construction, logistics, mining, or related environment
• Practice with budgeting and cost management
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations
• Knowledge in the operation and utilization of plants and equipment
• Ability to understand safety regulations and implement a safety program.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Work Environment
Role operates in a professional office setting sometimes but primarily operates at the production/mine site and requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
