Plant Manager 1 (PM1)
AHCC is a prison institution located approximately 10 miles west of Spokane, Washington, that houses approximately 2,100 I/I's consisting of two major facilities (Main and MSU), 55 buildings, and approximately 169 acres.

This position reports to a Plant Manager 3. The Department of Corrections mission is to improve public safety. This position contributes to the agency's mission to improve public safety by assigning and inspecting ongoing projects and equipment, entering, analyzing and tracking data regarding maintenance projects completion, costs, efficiencies and effectiveness.
Duties include, but not limited to;
- Supports two (2) Plant Manager 3's (PM3) ensuring effective and efficient operations.
- Inspect and analyze facility projects assigned by the Plant Manager 3 for regulatory compliance, costs, on-time completion, and effectiveness, by working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs project planning and prioritization to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Prepares and distributes status reports on maintenance unit work goals and on-time delivery.
- Facilitates meetings with contractors and vendors to ensure timelines are met and concerns with projects are addressed timely.
- Serve on the Local Safety Council and Security Advisory Team representing the maintenance department. Be affluent and communicate maintenance process and budgetary issues, act as liaison resolving suggestions at the committee level.
- Trains maintenance staff in the safety program and precautions.
- Responsible for the centralized DOC Asset Planner (AP) database system to maintain regulatory compliance, consistency with all other DOC facilities, and meet DOC Headquarters requirements.
- Serves as the Hazardous Waste Coordinator back-up, maintains a HazWopper certification, and performs all hazardous waste processes/designations.
- Track and ensure staff accountability for maintenance staff onsite and offsite status each day.
High School Diploma or GED.
AND
Two (2) years of work experience performing operations or maintenance of a physical plant in industrial, commercial, or public establishment to include but not limited to the following;
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues regarding operations and maintenance.
- Developing and/or maintaining electronic centralized process/workload systems such as or similar to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Interpret policy/regulations/codes and provide practical application in the maintenance/operations environment.
- College degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Management, or related field.
- Experience with a Centralized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Asset Planner from Ameresco.
- Experience with Hazardous Waste Management/Disposal.
