Career Overview


The NoaNet Project Manager is experienced in managing telecommunications infrastructure projects, construction of underground/overhead utilities, and handling Outside Plant data/information. They thrive on being part of a dynamic team and are skilled in leading discussions, delivering results, and striving for excellence. The NoaNet Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a wide range of projects including planning, scheduling, tracking progress, managing budgets, curating collateral, and ensuring compliance with internal/external rules and guidelines.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Generally familiar with various Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) construction methods including structured cabling and wiring methods such as building conduit and riser cabling design, analysis, and fiber-optic installations. Understanding of aerial, directional boring, backhoe, trenching, and plowing operations as well as digger and bucket truck operations.
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents, drawings, and specifications. Understands building systems, construction materials, electrical, design and engineering concepts, and overall knowledge of construction, data & telecommunications infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain budget and associated financial tracking of specific jobs, process and approve contractor supplied invoices and purchase order. Provide timely updates of all budget activities to management and clients. Maintain a project plan/schedule with major milestones, provide updates reporting to clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
  • Perform take-offs, submit RFQ’s and RFI’s, develop scope of work based on contract documents complete with scope inclusions, exclusions & classifications.
  • Work in collaboration with NoaNet OSP and ISP engineering teams to help develop schedules and coordinate permit application submittals for large and small projects.
  • Work in collaboration with a diverse team of contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers, to guarantee best value pricing, timely estimates, and quality of work available on every project.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with permitting entities, to assist with the submittals and approvals of permitting such as cities, counties, railroads, joint use pole.
  • Responsible for working with vendors to obtain private easements.
  • Responsible for working with customers and building/landowner to obtain building access agreements.
  • Review suppliers/subcontractors quotes for completeness with project plans & specifications.
  • Establish preliminary construction schedule and duration.
  • Provide internal and customer reports on project status
  • Basic knowledge of NEPA/SEPA and Section 106, preferred but not required.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Perform project close out tasks, Client project will entail delivery of all items noted in the RFP/Contract.

Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

 

  • Five, 5, years of experience with increasing project management duties
  • Degree or Certificate in Project Management or Job-related Training in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Familiar with ESRI and Google Earth and associated file types (KMZ, KML, Shapefiles)
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills with maximum attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercommunication skills required.
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects with multiple individuals, take initiative, and meet deadlines.

 

Availability and Travel Requirements

 

  • Position requires availability during regular business hours (08:00-17:00) with occasion work outside of those hours to complete tasks.

  • Must be able to provide proof of valid driver’s license and insurance.
