nVent has recently acquired ECM Industries, a leading provider of high-value electrical connectors, tools and test instruments, and cable management. ECM complements our electrical power connection and grounding solutions portfolio within our Electrical and Fastening segment.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Responsible for employee safety, production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Implement strategies in alignment with critical initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Own the site to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash initiatives
- Develop and Share a trusting relationship with site employees and staff.
- Commit to plant safety procedures
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet customer demand.
- Drive site personnel in the application of Lean Principles and Methods
- Establish site Transformation Plans and lead site to the execution and strategy development
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to continually improve manufacturing productivity.
- Be responsible to assure strategic plans are in place for talent acquisition, employee development and people management.
- Work with nVent leadership to find opportunities, implement action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.
YOU HAVE:
- 4 year degree is a plus
- 3+ years manufacturing/lean experience is preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a site or manufacturing manager with focus on safety quality and delivery goals is preferred
- Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment
