Position and Responsibilities Overview
- The Plant Manager is not task oriented.
- The Plant Manager is focused on process improvement and capacity expansion.
- Ensure Department Managers are informed of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) expectations, and budget, having the tools to be proactive in achieving goals.
- Institutes policies and procedures as required.
- Provides performance reviews for direct reports.
- Responsible for staff and employee mentoring, motivation, and recognition.
- Establish and sustain a culture of continuous improvement to identify and implement improvements in work methods, procedures and operations that increase efficiency, profitability, quality, and safety.
- Hire, develop, and retain management, and operations personnel, providing direction, leadership, mentoring, and motivation with the objective of building and maintaining a high performing organization.
- Build trusted working relationships with team members and other business partners
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant management experience.
- Lean or Six Sigma certified preferred.
- P&L experience, strong financial and analytical skills.
- Prior experience with achieving and maintaining ISO/IATF certification standards strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with production of electrical and electronics products preferred.
- Use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point and other software as required.
- Excellent intuition and deductive reasoning for assessing opportunities.
- Keen insight and proactive ability to identify, assess and manage risk.
- Demonstrated experience and success in managing people effectively and leading operations function.
- Managerial and administrative effectiveness to achieve stated objectives through others.
- Demonstrated ability to get results in a team-oriented, participative environment.
- Skills and experience with labor, hiring and management practices, including building and maintaining high performance organizations.
- Decisive and collaborative leader with the ability to drive performance through multiple organizational levels.

Safety is Our Top Priority
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Work predominately inside and in dusty and noisy areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, and confined spaces.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, etc.).
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and cold.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
- Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.
