- The Plant Manager provides overall leadership for the Corona, CA site within the Health segment of Lubrizol Advanced Materials. The Plant Manager is responsible for setting the vision for the site that allows for the effective planning and execution of all activities needed to support delivery of products and services to our customers while ensuring overall sound operation of the facility.
- Lead and exemplify a culture where ‘safety is a core value’ is a true belief, ensuring safety accountability across the organization.
- Utilize leader standard work and continuous improvement principles to drive operational excellence in all areas.
- Manage and lead the central functions including manufacturing, HSE&S, supply chain and maintenance/engineering.
- Ensure establishment of Lubrizol systems and procedures that support HSE&S, operations, HR and finance programs and goals.
- Promote a plant culture that is responsive to the manufacturing environment and business needs through teamwork and personal responsibility of the processes.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, quality, and R&D functions to support and contribute to new product development, scale-up, and product modifications.
- Establish, maintain and adhere to expense and capital budgets for the site.
- Be active and visible within the organization to improve and bridge the gap between the business strategy and the employees.
- Establish and maintain executable succession plans for key site roles.
- Drive team development and performance, ensuring a high level of employee engagement and a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Lead and complete miscellaneous projects as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Previous plant experience, plus manufacturing supervisory/managerial experience of
minimum 7-10 years is required (medical device manufacturing experience preferred). - Proven ability to effectively lead with minimal supervision, demonstrating an
entrepreneurial attitude. - Proficient in leading the plant, providing direction, support, and development for teams across the plant.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as facilitation experience.
- Self-motivated, proactive with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, “high energy", team-oriented environment
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, commitment and follow-through while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations and clean room operations is considered a plus.
