Job description

Summary/Objective
To manage plant operations contributing towards improving manufacturing efficiencies through mechanical and manual systems and processes.

To ensure that plant operations are in compliance with all laws and regulations including environmental and safety. To ensure that risk is minimized through good planning and management.

1. Managing relevant to the functions and operations of manufacturing and ongoing projects including but not limited to the automation, continuous improvements, customer satisfaction, productivity, inventory control, problem resolving.

  • Formulating production process quality control methods to effectively prevent unqualified products from leaving the plant. Lead team to reverse analyze root causes for unqualified products. Organize and formulate improvement actions. Responsible for collecting quality data, analyzing, coordinating colleagues to formulate an improvement plan, and implement such plan according to priorities.
  • Organizing scheduling professionals to formulate plant level production plans. Approve production plans. Implement production plans. Supervise and oversee production plan implementation. Monitor the effectiveness of production process. Maintain orderly production. Interprets internal/external business challenges and implements best practices to improve production.
  • Ensure assigned jobs and/or projects are performed accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure any systematic, quality, production, etc. problems are corrected.
  • Participate in Advance Product Quality Planning for all parts, be involved in the development and design of tooling, fixtures and machines.
  • Ensure that the operations are in compliance with all legislated laws and regulations. Work with our risk insurers to ensure that the facilities are adequately protected. Work with all departments to insure that all equipment is adequately guarded, operating safely, and in compliance with laws regulating their use.
  • Participate in the quality programs of the organization, and manage the systems and procedures as they relate to his departments. Make recommendations for improving these systems.
  • Participate in the development of the annual business plan, long-range plan, and other action-oriented plans as directed by management. Ensure that action-oriented plans for his department are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate and oversee the productivity, quality, and system process.
  • Ensure that his department(s) are in compliance with established work rules and procedures regarding performance or work, etc.
  • Any other duties as directed by management.
  • Ensure there are no interruptions or errors due to lack of giving or seeking information by fully informing the supervisor of all events affecting plant operations.
  • Ensure that all aspects of his/her area of responsibility are in full compliance with the quality system in place at the operation at all times.
  • Communicate to his department any changes in company policy or procedures which relate directly or indirectly to it.
  • Regularly review procedures with his personnel.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is assisting operations manager to manage all employees of the relevant department and is responsible for performance management of the employees within that department.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp small items, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Working overtime and/or weekends may be required as necessary.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS Degree in a Manufacturing related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry

3. Able to read, speak, understand, and communicate in English

4. Skilled computer knowledge of Microsoft programs, such as Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook required

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Knowledge in IATF16949 Principles
  • Manufacturing operation management experience
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Data analysis skill.
  • Skilled experience of Office tool(Word, Excel, PPT).
  • 5S
  • Waste reduction methods

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

1. Must have valid working documents to work in the United States.
