Summary: Performs labor work in all areas of the Packing Department, in a timely fashion, as assigned daily by the Packing Leads or Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Observing all safety rules, operates the Forklift & Power Jack to complete the following daily tasks daily:
- Follow proper sign in/out procedures for equipment
- Racks & un-racks product to/from the coolers daily.
- Stacks product on correct pallet types in the finished goods area as necessary to keep product finished product moving from packing lines
- Assists with Loading/unloading trucks when directed.
- Receives finished pallets from production lines, ensure’s proper stacking, pallet pattern, labeling requirements have been met.
- Creates output product, prints pallet license plates and applies to the lower right hand corner of front and rear of each pallet
- Properly scans packing materials and input product from storage areas to production areas
- As required, loads input product into hoppers in assigned area if needed.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections on material handling equipment used during shift
- Cleans Packing line, coolers and equipment daily as required
- Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the Packing Leads or Manager
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse atmosphere is preferred. Forklift experience is a prerequisite. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification is required to operate the machinery. Reach truck is optional based upon work area.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and properly interpret pallet pattern with proper tier and tie, rotating and alternating pallets including chimney stacking.

- Environment is fast paced and often in refrigerated zones.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
