Position Summary
Metrea’s Solutions team is currently searching for a Pipeline Development Manager to expand our opportunities in the United States Army market. Metrea provides advanced, bespoke solutions through best-in-class R&D and engineering, as well as aviation services, and space solutions. With continued investment in next generation capabilities the company promotes our legacy of providing elegant solutions to the toughest national security challenges.
Metrea requires a business development executive who brings a track record of success in growing and expanding new/existing business. The ideal candidate will have broad market awareness (spanning the Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Civilian spaces) and possess EW, SIGINT, CYBER, Communications, and C5ISR domain expertise, knowledge and creative energy/aptitude to leverage that core expertise to pursue new opportunities. She/he will have a track record of success developing large capture and growth opportunities in the Federal Government sector. The role will report to the Head of Commercial (US).
- Develop and grow extensive established opportunity portfolio with both existing and potential customers.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain customer relationships across Metrea Aerospace business units.
- Shape, identify, capture, and manage strategic opportunities that support business strategies.
- Provide market and competitor intelligence on market segments where the business unit is engaged, as well as insights on competition specific to individual opportunities.
- Support capture teams to establish overall proposal strategies and themes which clearly differentiate Metrea from competitors.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities capable of meeting or exceeding business objectives.
- Collaborate with functional counterparts across Metrea to ensure winning solutions are brought forward to customers and positions for strategic, enterprise-wide campaigns.

Essential Functions Statement:
- A minimum of 5 years of business development and strategy experience in support of the federal government, commercial, and/or international clients. Experience in organizations known for building high performing business development functions, as well as quality strategic planning processes.
- Broad market awareness coupled with a demonstrated history of identifying and pursuing large-scale, competitive opportunities across the company’s core market strengths – Defense, Intelligence, National & Homeland Security, and federal civilian government.
- Deep domain experience in one or more of the following areas: National Intelligence Systems, Government Organization Advanced Technology Priorities, Engineering Services, and C5ISR domain expertise.
- Strategic insight and execution across the entire capture process are required. Experience with all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus) as well as non-IDIQ and IDIQ single or multiple aware contracts is expected.
- Proven experience with strategic planning, Pipeline Development, pipeline management, and customer relationship management
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships externally with customers and within a firm/corporation, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
- Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management.
- Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are required as well as an ability to inspire confidence and provide business development expertise throughout the company.
- The ability and willingness to travel, as needed, is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited college or university in Business, Technology, or a related field.

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be a US citizen.
