Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to fill an opening with an Article 28 Diagnostic & Treatment Center located in Brooklyn, New York.
Requirements of the Physician / Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation:
- Must have an active NY State License.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Benefits of the Physician/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation:
- The salary for this position is $300,000 to $320,000 / yr (will be pro-rated for part-time).
- Benefits are competitive and negotiable.
Schedule of the Physician/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation:
- This is for a Part-time position.
- 2 days weekly.
- 8-9 hours per day.
Responsibilities of the Physician/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation:
- Examine patients who need to undergo physical therapy.
- Diagnose pain as a result of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition.
- Determine and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Recommend and undertake various medical procedures, such as disc decompression, prolotherapy, and vertebroplasty to treat pain and improve physical functioning.
- Lead a team of medical professionals, which may include physical therapists and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care.
- Monitor ongoing progress and health of patients, and change treatment plans, as necessary.
- Provide adaptive tools to improve the overall health and physical functioning of patients.
- Counsel patients and their families and help them adapt to lifestyle changes.
- Provide support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
