Job Description
We are seeking a PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join our team! You will provide healthcare services, under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
- Provide counsel and medical treatment to patients
- Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Obtain detailed medical history and perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients (children and adults) presenting with urgent/emergent medical conditions.
- Must be proficient in a wide array of medical procedures including laceration repair, X-ray interpretation, fracture stabilization, IV placement, foreign body removal, Incision and Drainage and wound care.
Qualifications:
NCCPA Certified
- Active New Jersey License and DEA
- Current ACLS, BCLS, Infection control certificate
- Prior Urgent Care/ER Experience Required (at least 1 year of experience)
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Positive patient-first attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
