Physical Therapy Assistant (FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME)

Overview
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director and RMTS Administration, the therapist will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical care. S/he may perform any or all of the therapeutic procedures in Physical Therapy. The PTA prepares patients and equipment for Physical Therapy, assists physical therapist in administering treatments, and progresses patients as per planned treatment outline.

Requirements
Not everyone can be a Physical Therapy Assistant. To be seriously considered for this role, the requirements are as follows:
· Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Preferred to have additional education and or training in a related medical field.
· Must have state licensure in good standing.
· Up to 6 months on the job training to become familiar with clinic/hospital equipment and regulations, technique, and department procedures.
· Ability to deal effectively with patients and coworkers.
· Ability to maintain documentation on all patient care within 24 hours a treatment and assist with tracking visits, progress reports, and authorized visits.
Responsibilities
As one of Rocky Mountain Therapy Service’s Physical Therapy Assistants, you’ll meet the initiatives and strategic needs on your own through experience-learning, and develop as you work alongside others in your field. Along your journey to grow our brand’s audience, and your skills, you’ll be responsible for:
· Facilitate patients in active and passive exercises as outlined by the therapist.
· Manage equipment such as the use of cardio equipment, total gyms, dynamic exercise tools for use with therapy treatments.
· Support patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches, and prosthetics and orthopedic devices.
· Reinforce with home exercise instruction for patients.
· Assist with patient dressing, when necessary, and with patient transfers within the clinic/hospital for therapy care.
· Cultivate a clean working environment.
· Administer good communication skills to assist with patient care. Records and reports patients progress for review by other members of the medical team.
· Construct daily charges as part of documentation and utilize our CORE 4 of billing and coding.
· Support general front office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, making copies, etc.
· Direct and supervise activities of other assistants or volunteer workers.
· Strive in education and training opportunities for aides.
· Motivated to cover shifts at various facilities.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
