Physical Security Analyst

This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Manager and Leads, Analysts will monitor enterprise-wide security alerts, provide security support, and protect HPE assets by identifying, analyzing, and responding to Physical Security incidents that could impact company assets or team members. Analysts will appropriately communicate with GSECC management and leads in response to security alerts, critical event management, or emergency response. Analysts will be expected to follow GSECC procedures, apply critical thinking, and respond and react quickly in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and report all incidents that could potentially have a negative impact on assets or team members
• Receive global security-related incident calls and create incident reports utilizing case management software
• Monitor enterprise-wide Physical Security systems, including access control & alarm monitoring, video surveillance, geospatial intelligence, travel monitoring, and social media monitoring tools
• Dispatch and coordinate response to security incidents using the appropriate communication methodology, including but not limited to, radio, phone, email, SMS, and mass notification tools
• Provide continuous monitoring of assets and respond accordingly to incidents
• Receive, evaluate, and disseminate incoming information and reports from security personnel, team members, suppliers, reporting parties, and local agencies
• Monitor and maintain the help tickets systems related to security issues or incidents, and escalate all items to the appropriate personnel according to established procedure
• Escalate critical events to management and stakeholders, and work in close coordination with SOC leads
• Verbal and written communication must be clear, concise, timely, accurate, and customer-focused
• Prepare incident reports, situation reports, and notifications; and disseminate to the appropriate stakeholders as outlined by internal procedures
• Identify opportunities to drive innovation and improvement using new technologies, capabilities, processes, and procedures
• Any other tasks as designated and assigned by management

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle, triage, and attend to multiple and competing priorities
• Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment in handling Physical Security incidents
• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other related applications
• Must be comfortable working under pressure in stressful situations
• Must be willing to work holidays
• Ability to work flexible and rotating shifts is required

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in security or similar customer service environment
• Previous experience working in a SOC or control room environment preferred
• Familiar with Security Monitoring Software, Mass Notification Systems, Travel Trackers, Social Media Monitoring, and IT and facilities ticketing systems advantageous but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software programs essential
• Knowledge of and experience with Physical Security applications including access control and alarm monitoring systems, CCTV, incident reporting, and incident management software preferred

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $41,500.00 - $88,500.00
