Php Developer

SUMMARY

The PHP Developer will be responsible for designing and maintaining applications that support the firm's e-Business, Financial and central services departments (time & billing, invoice delivery, audit/collections, and receivables). The ideal candidate will be able to utilize a multitude of both web and general purpose programming languages to help deliver stable, modern, and professional business solutions to the firm. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, technical communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. 

JOB DUTIES

Custom development in PHP and SQL (RDBMS/relational database) tailoring product to client requirements.

Working with business to create and implement technical requirements for customizations to multiple products.

Custom development in HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript to ensure products are as "off-the-shelf", front-end presentable as possible.

Ensuring your code has tests that pass and conforms to industry coding standards.

Updating and deploying medium to large scale web applications on your own.

Rapidly solving problems, bugs and compatibility issues

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Full Stack Experience - Identifying and fixing issues with PHP, SQL (RDBMS/relational), JavaScript, CSS and jQuery.

Enterprise-grade relational database experience (DB2, SQL Server, etc.)

Must be able to use Chrome/Firebug console to debug front-end code

Have 3+ years professional PHP experience (solid PHP 5+ experience both procedural and OOP. Also, willing to learn/adapt to PHP 7 upon release)

Strong understanding of MVC/CodeIgniter Framework.

Experience using version control (git, mercurial, svn) to manage your code (working with a team that uses version control is a plus [we use mercurial]).

Have experience in End-To-End full life cycle (SDLC) products.

Employ strong code formatting and adherence to common best-practices.

Can work in a fast paced, rapid development environment.

Experience working in an AGILE environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

.Net programming C# and/or VB.Net a big plus

CSS/JavaScript framework experience (Bootstrap, Angular, etc) a huge plus.

Experience designing and building responsive front-end web applications that work across multiple browsers and mobile devices a plus

Experience with scripting a plus (Python, VB, etc)

Ability to test your code with Selenium/browser automation, etc a huge plus

SOAP, RESTful APIs a plus

EDUCATION

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related experience

Additional training/certification in relevant area of study is a plus
