Wicked Weed Brewing takes great pride in our ability to tell the stories of our people, products, and culture through photography, video, and other creative mediums. The photography position is essential for our ability to showcase our world-class brewery, James Beard-nominated restaurants, and our exceptional 300+ employees. As an important member of the Wicked Weed Brewing team, the photographer documents all aspects of the Wicked Weed company and portfolio.
The photographer is responsible for shooting lifestyle and studio shots that can be used in a variety of media channels including but not limited to, social media, digital billboards, print media, websites, posters, etc. The position requires an experienced individual who can provide advice and direction on how best to accomplish marketing objectives. The photographer should know how to best position a product to achieve the desired outcome.
This role supports our sales team, multiple restaurants, and overall company needs to promote company-wide objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Photography – the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing all photography needs across the entire company
- Ability to work according to the overall established brand and photography standards of Wicked Weed
- Ability to work within tight and long-term deadlines
- Must have strong communication skills to be able to effectively manage schedules and expectations of multiple departments that have competing timelines and interests
- Must be able to take photos of food, beer, and people with an eye for different and interesting compositions
- Must be able to edit photos to submit final, polished photos to be used on a variety of platforms such as social media, posters, printed materials, etc.
- Creating social media content designed for storytelling and driving engagement
- Understands marketing goals, and audiences, and delivers consistent messaging
- Collaborates in brainstorms that build marketing campaigns ensuring consistency in brand voice and aesthetic
- Supports Brand Manager with misc. duties as needed
SKILLS
- Proven work experience with both lifestyle and product photography
- Work with subjects to provide a comfortable environment and professionalism throughout shoots
- Hands-on experience in photo editing and composing photos utilizing proper lighting and techniques
- Ability to deliver polished, finalized content
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Highly proficient in digital design and Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Knowledge of online marketing channels
BONUS SKILLS BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Video experience including editing and motion graphics
- Canva app knowledge
- Familiarity with AI creativity and photography tools

Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of marketing and branding trends and best practices
- Highly proficient in digital design and Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other office-related software
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Experience marketing in the beer, wine, or spirits industries is a plus
- Working knowledge of cameras and video recording devices is necessary
- Communicate with management or subjects to understand what they want or need
- Use creative knowledge to compose photographs
- Experience with documentary/narrative style photography along with studio and product-focused photography
- Have good communication and people skills
- Be reliable and able to meet deadlines
- Must live in Asheville, NC, or surrounding area
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 3 years of professional photography experience that includes both lifestyle and studio experience.
