Responsibilities
- Help patients with daily living activities, such as eating, bathing, and grooming, as well as personal care.
- Perform fundamental patient care tasks as assigned and supervised by a registered nurse, such as keeping track of vital signs, measuring blood sugar levels, and recording intake and output.
- Inform nursing staff about any unusual observations or changes in the physical, mental, or emotional conditions of the patient.
- Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Help keep the unit(s) and patient rooms stocked, tidy, and organized.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience and enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment.
- Any necessary clerical and administrative responsibilities
Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to carry out duties in a professional manner, as well as the ability to work well under stress.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-pasted environment
- 18 years old and above
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Willingness to be trained
