Weekly breakdown:
25-30 hours of billing and claims
10-15 hours of pharmacy order entry
Duties:
- Contact facilities for prior authorizations
- Review patient discharge information
- Post-consumption billing
- Data entry of resident insurance information
- Review resident fact sheets and make corrections if necessary
- Verify and change any financial pay statuses
- Provide customer service and problem resolution to assigned facilities
- Identify errors that caused claim denial daily
- Re-bill claims as needed
- Assist in overall automation of billing procedures
- End of month bill process
- Visit clients to go over monthly billing statement
- Claim adjudication
