Job Title: Pharmacy Compounding Manager/ PIC
Position Overview: We are seeking a Pharmacy Compounding Manager (PIC) to oversee our compounding pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both sterile and non-sterile compounding, including handling hazardous materials. This role involves managing a team of three technicians and one additional staff pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, and contributing to the growth of the department within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of three technicians and one staff pharmacist in the compounding pharmacy department.
- Oversee all aspects of sterile and non-sterile compounding, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to compounding operations.
- Stay updated on current USP, federal, and New York State guidelines pertaining to compounding pharmacy practices.
- Communicate effectively with physician offices and patients regarding compounded medications.
- Participate in sales meetings with the owner in a consultant capacity, as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate the expected growth of the compounding department within the organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding, including hazardous materials.
- Strong knowledge of writing policy and procedures is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
- Current New York State Pharmacist license is mandatory.
- Multi-state licenses are a plus; willingness to acquire through company-sponsored testing.
- Ability to adapt to the evolving needs and growth of the compounding pharmacy department.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
