Pharmacy Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for customer service and quality patient care. Due to the unique requirements of our patient population, we require our Pharmacists to be detail-oriented, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile. This position will be compensated at $55 -$65 per hour, to be scheduled on call between Monday to Friday, upon notice. Since this is a per-diem position, there are no benefits available.

Requirements:

• Have at least (1) year experience as a Licensed Pharmacist
• Be a team player
• Heavily organized
• Exceptionally detail oriented
• Able to help lead staff and projects with confidence
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Verifying patient prescriptions
• Manage workflow at the absence of Pharmacist-in-Charge
• Answer incoming phone calls as needed
• Assists in leading the staff and projects
• Preparing medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders
• Dispensing medications by packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals
• Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions
• Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state BOP, the DEA, and the FDA
• Maintaining records for controlled substances
• Other duties as necessary

Preferred Qualities (not required):

• Previous experience using DigitalRx pharmacy software
• Previous experience working in Behavioral Health
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Must have California license in good standing and adhere to all federal/state laws.
