We are seeking a dependable and dynamic Pharmacist (Part-Time, In-House) to join our team!
We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist for the Director of Pharmacy position. The Director of Pharmacy will provide an organized pharmaceutical service for the emergency department and inpatient services in accordance with accepted professional principles and appropriate federal, state, and local laws. To be successful in this role you must be customer-focused and remain up to date with the latest advances in pharmaceutical science.
Pharmacist Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervision of hospital drug storage
- Responsible for maintaining records of the pharmacy as required by law and to maintain adequate control and accountability of all drugs.
- Develop written policies and procedures to govern the pharmaceutical services provided by the hospital
- Ensure patient safety, and control and accountability of drug administration.
- Compounding and dispensing medications, as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitoring customers’ drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing customers of any potential side effects.
- Keeping accurate customer records.
- Ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
- Completing operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, charges, and removing expired and/or damaged drugs from the pharmacy’s inventory.
- Adhering to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
- Performing other administrative tasks when needed.
Pharmacist Requirements:
- Doctorate's degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- Proven experience as a pharmacist.
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in the state of Idaho.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
- Computer Savvy!
- Great organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $52.00 - $67.00 per hour
