Have worked in jobs that required the use of your hands, and the ability to figure out solutions to problems. Pay rate will be based on demonstrated skill in these areas. We are willing to train on the Pest Control portion of the job. Must want to pursue a career in Pest Control, and test and obtain your certified operator license within 3 years of hire.
A Pest Control & Lawn Care Technician is a skilled professional responsible for managing and executing Pest Control services to ensure the safety and comfort of clients. They possess in-depth knowledge of pest behavior, weeds and grass, effective control methods, and the ability to learn new skills. The primary goal of this role is to inspect, identify, and eliminate pest infestations while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Pest Inspection and Identification:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations.
- Accurately identify the type of pests involved and assess the extent of the infestation.
- Ability to oversee Pest Control, fertilization, and weed control in lawns
Treatment Planning and Execution:
- Ability to perform all service types provided by the company. Develop customized Pest Control plans based on the identified pest species and infestation severity.
- Utilize a variety of tools and chemicals to safely and effectively eliminate pests.
- Implement Pest Control treatments in compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior Pest Control technicians, providing guidance and training.
- Ensure that team members adhere to safety protocols and follow proper Pest Control procedures.
Customer Service:
- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Educate clients on Pest Control procedures, preventive measures, and maintenance tips.
- Address client concerns and provide solutions to pest-related issues.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of pest inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits.
- Prepare detailed reports for clients and management, outlining the actions taken and recommendations.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure all Pest Control equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Have the ability to maintain and make basic repairs to equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Keep the garage cleaned up and in good order.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations related to Pest Control practices.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new Pest Control techniques, and products.
- Attend training sessions and seek relevant certifications to enhance expertise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or coursework in Pest Control is a plus.
- Be certified by the State in at least 1 of the 4 categories.
- Proven experience as a Pest Control technician.
- Strong knowledge of pests, their behavior, and control methods.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
