Job Description
This is a full-time in-office position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- File and serve legal documents
- Client communication
- Organize and maintain case files
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
- Notice and object to depositions
- Calendar depositions, hearing dates and all deadlines (pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.)
- Schedule court reporters, and request transcripts
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Use case management software to keep cases organized and updated.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with file management
