We are looking for a competent Personal Care Assistant to support mentally or physically disabled individuals in their everyday lives. The fulfillment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate.
DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITY
- Enables clients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.
- Supports by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assists patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.
- Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Must be compassionate and willing to care for the well-being of others
- Willing to comply with required policies, standards, training, and regulations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be willing to complete given background checks
- Must have a valid Driver's License or valid government issued ID
- Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- CPR/First Aid
- Minimum 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting elderly or disabled individuals
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Must complete an annual physical, and follow government regulation required for health care workers
