As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tolleson, AZ.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize disruptions to production.
Machine Installation: Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new manufacturing equipment to meet production requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, adjustments, and preventive measures, using our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, actively participate in safety meetings, and contribute to the development of a safe working environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, providing valuable input to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the mattress industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of machinery.
- Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
