We're looking for a versatile PA to join our team! This role supports the owner/principal with both household and home office help. If you like variety, kids, office work, household work, and healthy meal preparation, keep reading! The successful candidate will be extremely organized, an excellent communicator, and an excellent cook for a family of picky eaters. Working hours: 6:30am-3:30pm with an hour lunch.
POSITION SUMMARY: This role’s primary responsibility is providing personal and administrative support for in-person work in Fullerton, CA. The work involves varied responsibilities around keeping the principal’s home running smoothly, which includes 4 children. In addition, some home office administrative duties are required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Essential Functions):
Household:
• Meal preparation, including cooking, for up to 6 people.
• Drop-offs, pick-ups, and other transportation needs of children from school, daycare, or other needs.
• Conduct various childcare activities like getting them dressed, giving them vitamins, help with homework, supervision, etc. and ensure their well-being.
• Care for dog, including feeding, walking, bathing, and some playing.
• Perform light housekeeping duties like laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, etc. resulting in a well-maintained and organized home.
• May coordinate organizational projects.
• Run errands like shopping, washing the car, getting gas for the car, going to the bank, mailing packages, etc.
• Maintain inventory of household supplies and ensure restocking as needed.
• Maintain and update the household calendar, including appointments and events.
• May arrange travel plans.
Home Office:
• Maintain home office ensuring organization and cleanliness.
• Create and maintain organized files and filing system.
• Conduct shredding, scanning, and handling of records & documents ensuring confidentiality.
• May plan for events and parties.
Other:
• Create and maintain a positive work environment and culture.
• Other duties or projects as requested.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING (Essential Qualifications):
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent: college degree or coursework preferred.
• Education or general knowledge of fine arts strongly desired.
Experience:
● 2+ years of experience as a household Personal Assistant, caregiver, or equivalent experience.
● 1+ years of experience preparing healthy meals within food safety standards.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance policy. A safe and reliable vehicle is required.
• Current COVID-19 and whooping cough vaccination.
• First aid and CPR certification.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
● Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
● Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, and Word.
● Ability to work proactively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining flexibility through changing-adaptable priorities and executing exceptional judgment.
● Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
● Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively.
● Comfortable with technology, able to quickly learn and navigate new platforms and software applications.
● Adaptable, teachable, and open to learning; strong ability and desire to collaborate regarding strategy and seek/receive feedback as appropriate.
● Flexibility in working hours, including some evenings and weekends.
● Ability to maintain precision, reliability, and efficient and accurate task execution.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a home environment as well as an outdoor environment. There will often be noise and activity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, pivot, and stand for extended periods of time. The role may involve repetitive motions related to cleaning and food preparation or sorting and organizing papers and files, requiring dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Additionally, individuals should possess the capacity to navigate and move within a household environment, including ascending and descending stairs reflecting a level of agility and adaptability in different spatial contexts which may include enclosed spaces with a high degree of skill and attention to detail.
