In this vital role, the Registered Nurse is responsible for monitoring the health and safety of identified individuals.
The Registered Nurse will:
- assess the health care needs of the people identified and coordinate with the staff and outside providers regarding the individuals’ medical needs
- educate and train individuals and staff to increase their awareness of health related issues to promote optimal health for all individuals
- monitor the medication administration system to ensure the safety of the people we serve in the division

Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills in the English language
- Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required.
- Valid driver’s license and available, dependable transportation required for local travel
Required Experience
- Current valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts
- Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse (CDDN) preferred
- Minimum of four years of nursing experience required - with two years in community health and two years of nursing case management preferred; Alternatively must have a background of at least two years (full-time) or four years (part-time) in the field of human services working with people living with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, and/or Acquired Brain Injury/Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Knowledge of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Certified MAP trainer preferred
