Join us in our goal to bring our Experiential Learning Platform to college campuses across the country. We are looking for team members who are passionate about equipping the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs with the skills they will need to succeed in the future workplace. If this is the type of work that gets you up in the morning, we'd love for you to consider joining our team.
What the Ideal Candidate Looks Like
This exempt role is for you if you are passionate about the experience of our team members and will do whatever it takes to ensure retention and satisfaction of the team. If you love to solve problems creatively, enjoy helping others with their development, and get your energy through impacting company objectives, this role is for you. Reporting directly to the Director of People Operations, this role is instrumental in making sure all the day-to-day functions of the department are running smoothly. This includes team member relations, payroll, benefits, 401k administration, and system management. To be successful in this role, you are the type of person who knows how to dig into data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations and decisions based on your findings. You are also in the details when it comes to data entry and procedures, triple checking your work for accuracy. If you are the kind of person who loves when people seek you out for information, who thrives in both backend and front facing functions, and who gets excited about building out a world-class People Ops department, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Responsible for in this Role
  • Maintain all systems used by the HR department and ensure data integrity in each.
  • Oversee our team member ticketing system (Zendesk), making sure they are handled and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and supply any post-payroll reports to other departments.
  • Administer team member benefits including medical benefits; employment benefits; compensation, and financial benefits.
  • Be the point of contact for cafe level team members and resolve any issues. Where a root problem exists, work with operations and other departments to create a long-term solution.
  • Support pre and post employment requests, such as background checks and employment verifications.
  • Respond to unemployment insurance requests.
  • Manage leave policies to stay compliant with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Perform internal audits and run reports upon request.
  • Additional duties as needed within the scope of the position.

Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with deliverables and data-entry
  • Customer service approach to everyday tasks
  • Ability to make data-based decisions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated initiative to take active role in future development
  • Clear communication on all levels between team members, in presentations and in meetings
  • Ability to effectively review and interpret varying types of information
  • Work productivity skills including prioritization and planning; organized, accurate, and thorough approach to tasks; and self-assessment of work quality
  • Self-Leadership skills including dependability, ability to follow instructions, responsiveness to feedback, and direction from management

Qualifications:
  • Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission Statement, Make Life Better, and Core Values in all daily activities. Our Core Values include:
