Position Summary:
The People Manager is accountable to provide a full suite of high-level support expertise for a dynamic business. This role is a collaboration of the operational HR Delivery Partner and provides the critical support needs of the business to ensure the proper people resources are available to drive and support profitable business operations and growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The role has leadership responsibility for strategies and programs that support business outcomes and build organizational and individual capabilities aligned to the corporate vision, mission and culture.
- Aligns the people strategies with the business and oversees execution of comprehensive talent strategies, initiatives, action plans and processes to improve critical organizational performance.
- Acts as a partner, subject matter expert, advisor and coach regarding business decisions including:
- Workforce planning and talent acquisition/mobility
- Diversity, equality & inclusion
- Compensation
- Organizational design
- Succession planning, retention, engagement
- Employee relations, legal issues, etc.
- Proactively identifies organizational issues through data and trends and brings forth recommendations/solutions
- Provides expertise in managing and leading change and is an advocate for creating a culture that
supports business objectives.
- Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally.
- Identifies and addresses succession issues through development and succession planning programs, develops ready now and potential pipeline candidates; Leads process to identify talent for key roles and/or strategic hires.
- Acts as the voice and senior level advocate for the employees to the leadership team at all times.
- Partners and supports leaders in achieving safety objectives
- Ensures organizational success in complex business situations such as mergers, acquisitions,
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. SPHR certification a strong asset.
- Seasoned HR professional with 8 years HR experience and at least 2 years of people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing strategic HR plans that align with business goals.
- Results oriented, services focused human resource professional with a verifiable track record for adding value, organization and superior performance and results to overall operations.
