Summary/Objective

This position will be responsible for establishing, managing, and building relationships with prospects, current clients, and business partners in the California region. Responsibilities include managing the complete sales cycle with prospective customers as well as developing referral relationships with insurance industry professionals, PEO brokers, and other channels to positively impact new client acquisition. Compensation consists of a competitive base salary, outstanding company benefits, and an uncapped earning potential with a favorable commission structure. Essential Functions

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals.
  • Establishing DHR as a preferred PEO vendor in the market.
  • Develop and execute a calling strategy for new prospects as well as brokers and agents while maintaining and growing existing referral relationships.
  • Source and maintain new broker/agent partnerships.
  • Reviewing and processing submissions with agents to gather any missing items and work with the agent to get the submission converted to a client.
  • Communicate with agents and customers to convert them successfully to DecisionHR.
  • Participate in onsite meetings, conferences, or lunches where applicable to maintain positive relationships with prospects, clients, brokers, and agents.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • P&C License or Health Insurance License is preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Sales/territory management or PEO sales background.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required. Must have demonstrated an in-depth understanding of a strategic sales process and strong presentation skills. PEO and/or Human Capital Management industry experience is preferred. Must have the ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering the full life cycle of business development activities regarding sourcing, building, maintaining, and cultivating existing and new referral relationships. Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to understand customer requirements and needs with a focus on collaboration, identifying opportunities for strategic alliances, and pursuing and establishing new opportunities and market segments.
  • This position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual who is persistent and diligent. Must have the ability to identify value propositions when meeting with prospective clients and follow through on business development opportunities to build long-term relationships for the organization. Must have an executive presence and proven ability to influence senior executives and drive new client business.
