Spero Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our awesome team!
This position is for a Peer Support Specialist who supports the mission of "Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships" in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. **This role will travel between our Cambridge and Zanesville clinics**
The Peer Support Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide recovery education to patients for every phase of treatment.
• Provide a model for both people in recovery and teammates by demonstrating that recovery is possible.
• Assist patients in identifying their personal interests, goals, strengths, and weaknesses regarding recovery.
• Provide coaching to patients to develop their own plan for advancing their recovery.
• Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups.
• Guide patient toward the identification and achievement of specific goals defined by the patient and specified in the Treatment Plan.
• Participate in the Clinical Review process and team meetings as appropriate
• Promote socialization, recovery, self-advocacy preservation, and enhancement of community living skills for patients.
• Use your experience to assist patients in finding THEIR voice and not echoing yours
• Documentation, evaluation, and achieving outcomes
• Knowledge and practice of ethical boundaries

• High school graduate or GED

• Must have a history of Substance Abuse Diagnosis and Treatment (one year post treatment)
• Ability to demonstrate two years of recovery involvement.
• License: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance

• Must have Ohio credential Peer Recovery Supporter
