PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM (PRP) PEER SPECIALIST
PRP Peer Specialist Weekend Services Position Summary:
The team will be responsible for the goals and strategies that make up the core of an individual member's program and progress. The Psychiatric Peer Specialist will have shared responsibility for all members of the team. This is a full time 4- Day work week position!
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate member assessments, develop individual rehabilitation plans, and document progress towards goals.
- Carrying out assignments to fulfill the PRP mission of providing sanctuary and support to members in the community.
- Participate in meetings as requested.
- Coordinate care with outside agencies and internally.
- Using electronic medical records, input data and following through seeing services to their completion.
- Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in the Human Service field or equivalent experience. Formal education is required.
- Personal firsthand experience with the mental health system as a client in recovery. National certification as a Peer Specialist preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid.
- Valid Full driver's license and safe driving record is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
